Why we like it
Blaise Castle House Museum & Countryside Estate is close to Bristol and easily accessed from the M5. Here you'll find an impressive 19th century mansion and a romantic folly castle set in 650 acres of parkland with picnic areas and a large playground for children.
As well as a handy opportunity for a picnic and playground stop, there are also lots of walks in the grounds, ideal for dog walks - for example the Castle Walk a 1.25 mile woodland walk taking about 40 mins with views over the gorge. Children will love the large playground area.
